Over the past three decades as strawberry growers and exporters, Surexport has improved and ensured that the flavour and quality are far above industry standards. This was achieved through our own varieties. As strawberry growers, we have always implemented the best agricultural practices available.
We have always selected and grown pest- and disease-resistant strawberries. As we evolved over time, we focused on a tastier and more attractive product. Like all good strawberry growers, we know that a perfect strawberry has a symmetrical shape, intense, bright red colour, great flavour, perfect acidity balance and sweet and deep aroma.
Strawberry growers; committed to excellence
The keeping quality of strawberries is essential to ensure an enjoyable customer experience. We recommend that they are kept refrigerated, in their original packaging, without washing until right before eating. The strawberries should be washed gently with cold water. Finally, do not forget to remove the small green leaves and wait until they reach room temperature to better enjoy their flavour and aroma.
As for its nutritional properties, strawberries contain vitamin A (5 micrograms per 100 gr.), vitamin E (0.23 milligrams per 100 gr.) and smaller amounts of other vitamins, including B1, B2, B3 and B6. Strawberries also contain minerals, primarily potassium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, iodine and calcium. They also provide moderate amounts of fibre (2.2 grams per 100 grams).
In short, they are a repository of essential nutrients for our health, in particular, vitamin C, an antioxidant that protects our body by strengthening the immune system. Its organic acids also have disinfectant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Given its benefits to human health, Surexport is committed to deliver quality strawberries to both the Spanish and international market. We strive to achieve this.
