Surexport grows and exports blueberries. We carefully select and grow unique blueberry varieties. Our fruits are internationally recognized for their taste and appearance.
In season, we manually harvest, one by one, blueberries at optimal ripeness with a round and firm shape, and without bruises nor dents.
Blueberries must have a soft, fuzzy coating that is part of their natural defence system. Other berries have a similar fuzz that protects them from sunrays and other natural elements.
It has an anti-aging effect, which is the most demanded feature from blueberry growers
As blueberry growers, we recommend that the berries are kept dry and refrigerated. If the blueberries are at optimum condition, they can be kept during five to seven days in the refrigerator.
Nonetheless, it is advisable to eat them as soon as possible. If you wish to freeze the blueberries for jams or other uses, do not wash them. Bear in mind that berries must be rinsed just before use.
Blueberries are high in fibre, have tonic and astringent properties and are completely cholesterol-free. Therefore, they are highly effective against constipation and intestinal problems in general.
They are also packed with antioxidants and a significant amount of anthocyanin (hence, its dark colour). This component is directly involved in cellular metabolism, combating free radicals that are the main cause of ageing.
This rejuvenating effect has resulted in increased demand for blueberries. A reality that all blueberry growers and exporters must confront.
