New research supports the link between strawberry consumption and heart health
During the 9th biennial Berry Health Benefits Symposium (BHBS) in Tampa (Florida), it have been presented two recent studies which confirm that consuming strawberry benefits heart health.
The research “Dietary Strawberries Improve Cardiometabolic Risks in Adults with Obesity and Elevated Serum LDL Cholesterol in a Randomized Controlled Crossover Trial” suggests that consuming strawberries is beneficial in case of insulin resistance.
Moreover, the research “Strawberry Consumption, Cardiometabolic Risk Factors, and Vascular Function: A Randomized Controlled Trial in Adults with Moderate Hypercholesterolemia”, suggests that strawberry consumption improves vascular health, independent of other metabolic changes.
